Katherine Picchione, junior at Academy of the Holy Names-Albany, won the first place grand prize in the Greater Capital Region Science and Engineering Fair. Her project was entitled "Biogas: An Investigation in Alternative Energy." This qualifies her to attend the 61st Intel International Science and Engineering Fair in Los Angeles, CA, the week of May 8-13.
